JANE NEWHAGEN – Her two historical novels, “Sand Dollar” and “Pieces of Eight,” are tales of old Key West in the mid-1800s. She also wrote the narrative for “After Life ~ Images from the Key West Cemetery,” with photographs by Carol Tedesco and Roberta DePiero. Jane received the Richard Heyman Recognition Award from the Anne McKee Artists Fund of the Florida Keys for “Pieces of Eight” and again for the third novel in the series, Chambered Nautilus, which will be published at the end of the year.
REEF PERKINS – Reef Perkins is a Key West author with a colorful past. From commanding a 150 foot Army combat diving ship in Vietnam, smuggling in the Caribbean and jumping out of helicopters for fun and profit, he has become a living legend in certain circles. A graduate of both the U.S. Army Engineer Officer Candidate School and the U.S. Navy Salvage Officers School. He is the author of the best-selling memoir– Sex, Salvage and Secrets and two works of fiction-Screwed, Blu’d and Tattooed and Deep Air.
